Sandy
Rose Bauler has been racing for five years and has two championships
to her credit. In 2005, she will be driving her Monte Carlo
#76 in the NASCAR® Late Model Sportsman weekly racing
series that will include Cajon Speedway.
Sandy suffered a near-fatal crash in October 2000 but after
six months of nursing care and rehabilitation she has recovered
and is currently training and seeking sponsors for her NASCAR
racing with the D2D Racing Team this spring.
Sandy, along with team driver Eddie Bryans will be sharing
their passion for racing as instructors for Drivetech Racing
School. Sandy also host a column in the Auto Trader on driving
safety tips.
Sandy Rose is dedicated to using her sport and her inspirational
story to mentor and educate local youth and families about
racing, responsibility, and reaching for your dreams. The
D2D team, volunteers over 1200 hours per year to programs
such as Girl and Boy Scouts of America, foster care programs,
women's, youth and non-profit organizations. Sandy also speaks
at colleges, middle schools, community-based organizations,
and businesses.
Sandy is a spokesperson for Mothers Against Drunk Driving
San Diego. MADD has partnered with D2D Racing to form the
Crew MADD fan club and the Team MADD program, educating youth
and race fans on racing, traffic safety, and the dangers of
underage drinking. Sandy is also a spokesperson for the San
Diego Chapter of Racers Against Drugs. She helps organize
racers from the Junior Dragsters and Winston Cup show cars
to visit schools to teach youth to reach for dreams and not
drugs (racersagainstdrugs.org).
Sandy has been recognized for her community contributions
by Channel 10, Car Talk on KFMB Radio, San Diego Auto Museum,
San Diego MADD, Spirit of Barrio, Jenna Druck Foundation,
Channel 8, and Girl Scouts of America.
Sandy's professional background includes Human Resources,
Marketing and Workforce Development.
